Issue

  • You encounter an issue where the generated email contains TRACKING_URL_MARKER instead of valid URLs when tracking is activated.
  • Links such as mirror page URLs work correctly when tracking is deactivated but fail when tracking is enabled.
  • This issue is caused by missing tracking formula options in the Real-Time (RT) instance configuration.

Cause

This problem stems from missing tracking formula options in the Real-Time (RT) instance configuration.

Resolution resolution

  1. Check if specific tracking formula options are missing in the RT instance configuration. Examples of required options include:

    • NmsTracking_ClickFormula_customSubdomain_*
    • NmsTracking_OpenFormula_customSubdomain_*
  2. Manually create all necessary options within the RT instance for each country where the issue occurs. Make sure any other option referenced in the click and open formulas are created as well, such as NmsTracking_ServerUrl_customSubdomain_*.

  3. Activate tracking on affected templates and send test deliveries using SOAP calls or other methods. Verify that generated emails contain correct URLs instead of placeholders. For steps, refer to Track and monitor messages in Campaign v8 Documentation.
